It feels like every year we hear reports that Damian Lillard will finally get traded out of Portland, and it still hasn’t happened to this day. We have been mocking Lillard trades for over half of decade, and no trade has ever been close to agreed to. This begs the question we have been asking every single offseason: Will Damian Lillard finally get traded??

Damian Lillard was drafted in 2012 with the sixth pick by Portland, and has turned out to be one of the best players out of that draft class. Lillard’s combination of ball handling and shooting along with his sneaky athleticism has made him one of the best point guards in basketball. Lillard’s regular season resume speaks for itself, as he has been an All-NBA player seven times in his career. The problem with Damian Lillard is that he has only been to the Conference Finals just one time, being swept by Steph Curry and the Warriors. This has not been his fault as the Blazers have been cheap and reluctant to bring in talent to play with Lillard. Many NBA fans have been calling for Lillard to request a trade out of Portland, but the loyal star has yet to do so. He has stated that he loves Portland and plans to bring championship to the long, suffering city. Teams like the Miami Heat, Milwaukee Bucks, and the Philadelphia 76ers have been linked as possible trade destinations for Lillard, but will a trade finally happen this offseason…..
